Moroccan Nightclub Uses ENECON Products to Repair and Protect Crumbling Concrete
Over time, concrete can begin to deteriorate and pose a severe safety hazard. When the staircase at a Moroccan night club began cracking and crumbling, the safety of guests was at a huge risk. Imagine being in a dimly lit night club after a few drinks, trying to get up the stairs that are uneven and full of cracks. The danger in this scenario is a serious one. Preceding mortar repairs proved to be ineffective. Thankfully, ENECON was able to use ENECRETE DuraQuartz to successfully repair the nightclub’s staircase.
The damaged stairs were manually prepped by grinding them down and removing all excess debris. DuraQuartz was used to rebuild the step’s broken edges, and then painted to match the building’s exterior.
ENECON also performed an additional repair to a concrete patio slab that was also beginning to show signs of erosion. For this repair, ENECRETE DuraFill was used to fill voids in the concrete, followed by a top-coat of ENECLAD FPS to provide long-term protection to the patio floor. This final top-coat application of ENECLAD FPS along with a broadcast of a fine aggregate also provided a highly durable, slip resistant surface, which is ideal for this type of environment.
